I finally have my very own chair settled into our home! I use this chair almost every day now that it has a designated place. The chair is photographed here with our lovely monstera houseplant, a macrame piece, and a basket of blankets. We keep the low chair in our meditation and yoga room. It’s a fantastic place to sit, relax, and unwind after a session of stretching or exercise. It has also been a really nice place to sit and read in. It turns out to be incredibly successful in its function, and the angles I chose for the seat and back are perfect for these relaxing functions. There are actually a couple different ways I sit in this chair: legs fully extended with heels resting on the floor, legs cross-legged in the chair, or feet flat and knees together.
Walnut wood is one of my favorite wood types for furniture. I just love it’s rich but subtle color tone, and it’s ability to support either a casual setting or professional setting in design. Most of the solid wood furniture in our home is a walnut or a dark wood of some type, and it’s really nice to have pieces that match each other! The turquoise pillow photographed with the chair in this image is just a placeholder for a custom cushion I plan to have made for the chair in a similar color.
Welcome home Hoek Chair!!
